The Acorn Autism Specialists have an exciting opportunity for a full or part time Clinical Psychologist to join our team.

The role benefits from some remote working, and ongoing supervision with a senior clinician. As part of the friendly and supportive Multi-Disciplinary Team (Speech and Language Therapists and Clinical Psychologists) you will provide autism diagnostic assessments based in Kelvedon, Essex. The post would be suited to an experienced Clinical Psychologist with an interest and specialism in autism.


Your main duties will include:

  • Autism diagnostic assessments using gold standard assessments of ADOS and ADI-R
  • Working in the Diagnostic team in pre and post diagnostic support.


Our ideal candidate will have the following experience:

  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, registered with the HCPC - essential
  • Experience of working with individuals who have an Autism Spectrum Disorder – essential
  • Experience of autism diagnosis – essential
  • Trained in the following gold standard tools: ADOS and ADI-R- essential
